Guided diagnostics to get Optimum Realism working perfectly on your setup.

Quick Fixes

Quick Fixes
  1. Open your game launcher
  2. Go to Installations and click your profile
  3. Click More Options
  4. In JVM Arguments, find -Xmx2G
  5. Change it to -Xmx4G or -Xmx6G (4-6 GB recommended)
  6. Save and launch the game
  1. Check your shader's page for the latest version
  2. Download the updated .zip shader file
  3. Place it in .minecraft/shaderpacks/
  4. Remove or rename the old shader file
  5. Restart the game and select the new shader

Recommended shaders: BSL, Complementary, Kappa, SEUS PTGI HRR 2.1

  1. Remove the current pack from .minecraft/resourcepacks/
  2. Clear your browser download cache
  3. Re-download from your Patreon or the official website
  4. Place the fresh .zip in .minecraft/resourcepacks/
  5. Enable it in-game and restart

Do not extract the zip -- the game reads it directly.

If you use Iris + Fabric, these mods are needed for the full experience:

  1. Iris — shader support (Modrinth)
  2. Sodium — performance optimization (Modrinth)
  3. Continuity — connected textures (Modrinth)
  4. Polytone — custom sounds (Modrinth)
  5. Entity Model Features (EMF) — custom entity models (Modrinth)
  6. Entity Texture Features (ETF) — custom entity textures (Modrinth)
  7. CIT Resewn — custom item textures (Modrinth)

Download each .jar and place it in .minecraft/mods/. Make sure Fabric API is also installed. If you use OptiFine, all these features are built-in.
